For Apple geeks like me, this is very good news.
Plans are in the works for the demolition of the historic Fun Factory on the corner of Toorak Road & Chapel Street in the thriving suburb of South Yarra. The space would be converted into a huge retail plaza, flanked by a hotel & a high-rise apartment building. The Apple store would be the major structure in the plaza.
It’s a very raunchy-looking building. A big, super-modern, glass-&-steel structure. It looks like it might need full-time window cleaners, like the store on Fifth Avenue in New York. Pictures & original story here.
Looks like it would be a way off… but Melbourne needs something like this! I’m so excited, & I just can’t hide it… etc.!
